Our next stop was Macy's. Meagan had promised her sister that she would buy her something from the Macy's where the Thanksgiving Parade we watch every year takes place.
She bought her these really cool sock things with tassels and pom poms hanging off of them!
After Macy's the girls had decided they wanted to take in another show. So off they went to see Hairspray at the Neil Simon theater.
If you have ever seen the movie, you will understand why Mike and I opted to go on a night tour of the city... Mike wouldn't have been able to take the show!
When our tour was over, we walked back over to the theater to pick the girls up. On our way, we saw a crowd gathered so we waited to see what they were waiting for. A few minutes later, a door opened and out walked last year's American Idol - Taylor Hicks. Mike braved the crowd and got close enough for a couple of photos. He is starring in the Broadway Grease.
We picked up the girls and headed back to the hotel. Our fun was over... we were heading home the next morning.
One last shot in the city... the girls wave good-bye. I have a feeling it won't be Meagan's last trip. She absolutely loved it! And we loved spending the time with her! (and Kimmie too!)

NYC Library and Bryant Park
We jumped back on the subway, and headed back to Midtown to the New York City Library. The architecture was amazing! This main library had a few rooms with reference books and many rooms with Museum type things in them. My favorite was the room that held the actual Winnie the Pooh toys. They didn't let you take a picture of those. I had no idea that Christopher Robin was a real boy! You could not check books out of this library... there were many other specific libraries throughout the city to check books out of.
After leaving the Library, we took a quick walk through Bryant Park ...

Brooklyn Bridge
Our next stop was the Brooklyn Bridge. It was amazing to be walking on a bridge that was constructed in 1875.
The bridge was divided into lanes. Some for walking, some for exercising. Stay out of the exercise lanes if you aren't exercising or you will get run over! One of the things Mike said he wanted to do in NYC was run on the Brooklyn Bridge. So that he did....
Obviously, no cars drive on the bridge anymore, they drive under the bridge.
The boats are off to the sides of the Bridge...

China Town
Our next stop was Canal Street aka China Town. Here the girls had fun learning the art of bartering. They became quite good at it! Meagan was so proud to walk away paying only $12 for a purse that had a $25 price tag. They also had lots of fun trying on sunglasses and jewlery. Even Mike got in on a little of the fun....
After a few hours of shopping, we jumped back on the tour bus and headed toward the Brooklyn Bridge.

A Stroll Thru the Park and Central Park Zoo
Friday was our last day in the big city. We had a lot left we wanted to do, so we hit the ground running. Our first stop was Central Park. The girls wanted to take some pictures and visit the zoo.

you would like that one)
After walking around for awhile, we jumped on a bike taxi and headed to the Central Park Zoo. This was the taxi driver.
