Trinity Church

We left Ellis Island and started making our way toward Ground Zero. On the way, we stopped at Trinity Church. This church sits a couple of blocks in front of Ground Zero. It is gorgeous. There is a graveyard surrounding the church as was the custom in earlier history. This graveyard is the resting place of Alexander Hamilton and some other early American patriots. It was deemed an official historical landmark in 1977.

This bundle of preserved roots
were sitting in the courtyard of
the church. Read below to see
the significance. (click on the picture
to see it better).

Pretty cool huh?
